We are about to hit the ground running......

So this week the first & second of many fundraisers are starting. At 3 of the local schools North Whidbey Middle School (where Sydney attends and her mom Mikki works), Oak Harbor Middle School & Hillcrest Elementary; we will be running a fundraiser where we are asking each student to simply bring in $1 in a labeled envelope to the Sydney Boyer Fund. We have the potential to raise $600 per school. This is an easy easy easy way that all the students can help out. For more information contact Tina Gluth at 360-240-0556.
*at North Whidbey the funds will be split between Sydney and another student who was recently at Children's Hospital and is still undergoing out patient therapy.

The second fundraiser actually came about as a way to promote the fundraisers....Blue Fox Printing donated our first 50 t-shirts that say "Support Sydney" on the back and have her beautiful smiling face on the front. Thank you Darryl & Blue Fox for all the support that you have given us in this area. We originally wanted our kids to wear them around town to promote how to help out, but there has been an overwhelming response to them--with many of Sydney's friends and parents wanting to show support for her. All the proceeds from these first 50 shirts goes directly to the Sydney Boyer Fund!!!!! You can purchase one for $15 by contacting Tina at 360-240-0556 or Sarah at 360-679-3406. (I will post pictures soon!!!)

Lastly, on March 28th we will be having a fundraiser at the Oak Harbor Cinema. The Details are: Saturday 3-28-09 at 10AM. The movie will be Aliens vs. Monsters. The tickets will be $10 each-regardless of age($5 from each ticket goes directly to the Sydney Boyer Fund). All students in grades K-5th will also receive a FREE kids pack when accompanied by a paying adult. There will ONLY be 180 seats available so get there early to ensure a seat.

Please check back often and all I can say so far is thank you so much to everyone in the community who has already helped out so much. And although I put the information in the "About Us" section ANYONE can donate to Sydney by simply going to Alaska USA or Wells Fargo banks. There are accounts set up for her at both banks.

And to again clarify, this site has been set up to simply spread awareness about our fundraising efforts. Out of respect for the Boyer's, I will not be reporting on Sydney's conditon. To find out more about how she is doing, you may visit the families website at www.caringbridge.org/visit/sydneyboyer. At the Caringbridge site, you will also be able to leave personal messages for Sydney.
